Examining Your Photos Once your photo is unpacked, we carefully examine the contents and damage under a special light that is calibrated to 5000 degrees Kelvin. We also block out any stray light from the room so that, using this "uncontaminated" light, we know the exact colors of your original print,
and can more accurately detect any color casts or stains that might be present in the original, even before scanning.
We even have a special magnifier so we can spot smaller blemishes in the photo prior to scanning. We take no shortcuts in what we believe is a very important step in the photo restoration process, because, depending on the condition of the photo, and the instructions you give us, every step we take in this process is dependent
on how we begin this process.
Every photo is different, and each needs a little bit (or sometimes a lot) of special care.
